Today I was outside doing some clearing out of one of the fields and I saw something utterly spectacular. I don't know what made me look up, but as I did I saw a BURST of leaves come from the woods that then started falling. It was some serious leaves too. Probably thousands.

It was beautiful.

Things are getting crazy. There's too many carrots to harvest. Smothers the turkey is always looking to smother. The flies are back. Last CSA day is tomorrow. I can't find any top 40 hits I want to download on iTunes.

That there last one is the craziest.

6 days might kill me

Today:

i ate pretzels and chocolate all day

i made pesto

i welcomed the new decor -- fly tape... because i don't want to live with flies anymore, 5 days is long enough

I never understood the flavor of grape until recently. The farm has a grape vine with concord grapes. Now, thaaaaat's the stuff. Tastes so good - just like grape juice. We are making some tomorrow.

You Turkey

Calling someone a turkey is probably the ultimate insult. No, it is for sure.

I've got a hunger, and it's twisting my stomach into knots.

Today I was veggie catching and I was thinking about all the plants that challenge the hunter. Spikeys and spikeys and spikeys galore. Yikes.

People are living like that too. Too many people wearing invisible armor...
